As you may have noticed on the front page, the unofficial theme song of ETIR comes from Swedish group Ace of Base, who became an international sensation in the '90s with their hits The Sign, All That She Wants, and Don't Turn Around. The song Every Time It Rains is from their 1998 album Cruel Summer.

Says consultant and site designer Michael Ross: "When Donny approached me about helping with the series, one of the most prominent factors was the Seattle setting. [Ross lives in Seattle.] What do most people think of when they think of Seattle -- rain, right? The rain can be very evocative: mournful, romantic, refreshing. This song just seemed to fit perfectly."

The song Every Time It Rains was written by Billy Steinburg, Rick Nowels, and Maria Vidal. It can be found on the Ace of Base album Cruel Summer (1998 Arista Records: 07822-19021-2). It is also available in remixed form on the Ace of Base compilation Greatest Hits (2000 Arista Records: 07822-14623-2).
